Then again, the Fender Twin on "Never Mind the Bollocks" destroys them all.

I don't think the Origin is terrible, but the more I really listen the more I think about a Ceriatone...The price is a big factor for me though, I'll just keep saving again, then take my time to choose my next amp...I really wanted the Origin to do the trick, but I really dunno now...
Speaking of Fender amps, there have been a few to pop up on CL, the first two are about an hour away, & the rest are about a 3-4 hour drive of here...I'm not interested in any of 'em, just curious to what you guys think about 'em & the prices...

I think the Pro and Super Reverbs are pretty bad ass.Minerman wrote: ↑Fri Apr 06, 2018 10:32 pmI don't think the Origin is terrible, but the more I really listen the more I think about a Ceriatone...The price is a big factor for me though, I'll just keep saving again, then take my time to choose my next amp...I really wanted the Origin to do the trick, but I really dunno now...

Miner you should quit dicking around with those little toy amps and just get another Chupa.
Another toy that helped destroy the elder race of man..forget about your silly whim it doesn't fit the plan.

Marshall JVM 410C. When you absolutely, positively have to kill every other motherfuckin' combo amp in the room, accept no substitutes.WhiskeyJack wrote: ↑Sat Apr 07, 2018 6:48 pm I want a combo amp as much as i want a hug from 1000 dollar hooker.
Ermmmmm...... do you WANT a hug from a 1000 dollar hooker? I'm confused.

Yeah, but then he sticks them in a fucking box and wonders why they sound so bad.

Here's something I've been working on, long way from being finished, just wondering what you guys think of it...Both guitars have just a hair of eq & a little reverb on 'em...
Signal chain:
SG > Mini Jube > ISO cab Greenback > i5
Both guitars have the same amp settings except the right side is the lead channel & the left is the rhythm clip, all I did was switch channels...

Re: The Tone Thread
I think that sounds great miner. I do like the sound of that amp.
Re: The Tone Thread
This sounds cool and much less like you than normal - this is more of a 70s rock vibe to it.
Think you've overdone it on the tremolo though, sounds pretty cool on the quick ascending arpeggios but its just a bit distracting and weird elsewhere - almost a bit seasicky! I've never liked tremolo though. Might be be OK if it wasn't going quite so deep.

Minerman, that's cool!
David, the panned trem is really weirding out my brain in headphones. It may be a great thing in the room though.
I like the sound you have and the progression - just not the trem.

Re: The Tone Thread
I really like this tone, David. Is it a normal tele bridge pickup? That gritty tone is what a rhythm guitar should sound like to me. And it really does sound like an amp. I have to echo the comments about the queasy sounding stereo tremelo, though!

Great tones, Minerdude. Super gritty grittiness with no fizz! I'm being spoilt this morning.Minerman wrote: ↑Sun Apr 08, 2018 12:59 am Here's something I've been working on, long way from being finished, just wondering what you guys think of it...Both guitars have just a hair of eq & a little reverb on 'em...

Re: The Tone Thread
Thanks guys...I've found the ISO cab sounds better with one mic, or I'm doing something wrong when trying that...I've also found the Mini Jubilee needs a couple little eq cuts, or it sounds nasal/mid-range-y...Mids are good for guitar, but it's got just a bit too much & I can't seem to dial it out using the amp...Anything lower than about 6-7 on the mid knob sounds too scooped for what I was after on this tone...
So nobody here recognizes this is a cover tune??? I'm sure Greg will...
Armi: Cool tones & song man, I'm impressed with the Kemper, so much so I've often thought about selling all my shit & just go direct again...Dunno if that'll ever happen or not though...lol...
I wouldn't mess with the tremolo too much, it's giving the song a pretty big sense of space IMO...Maybe lower the depth, or narrow it's spread down a little (if that's possible), or possibly just a hair of both...
I might add just a little more grit/gain to the tone, but it's great as it is...All these suggestions are just personal preference anyway, so take it with a grain of salt...
