The intro videos suggested much of the change was the default theme and how that enables some faster workflows.
Maybe you'll discover a new feature you love tho.

I just upgraded to 6 and my songs sound exactly the same....

I upgraded a week or so ago. It was AUS$98 including paypal fees and goods/services tax.
The "theme" didn't suit me so I opted for an older one which has the pan pots on the mixer strips as standard.
The colour coded stripes for "routing" weren't to my liking either so I opted for default 5.
So far it's not particularly different but I've not started to play with "folders" to replace "buses" so time and use will tell.

They move stuff around in order on menus which I'm having to adapt to.

I think I'll just stay with what3ver version I have that I'm barely using a fraction of amyway

I would've stayed put but I needed the new one to properly open/use a project sent by some one using 6.
