EDIT: replaced synth with guitar, worked out vocals in first third of song, and added more sounds to the transition.
To me, I want to capture the idea of strolling through a carnival/fair/amusement park. Let me know if it sort of accomplishes that, but it just being a decent song is the bigger goal. Another weird transition in this one.
Update with the song. Vocals at beginning are better. Can still be better, though.
Also, I don’t think the high synth works in that area of repetition. But I need something in there. I’ll play with a guitar next.
About 5 seconds of silence at the beginning for the drummer I’m working with.

Made some melody changes to the vocals in the first part, because they were more rough than a dog’s bark

That is a fun little journey of musical styles.
I like the second stop the best with the synth behind everything.

Thanks! This has been a fun one to do. I think any changes I make right now are only timing related. I want to get the drums in now and see what it’s like in the mix before I add anything else.musicturtle wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:17 pm That is a fun little journey of musical styles.

I'm not loving the first part. The vocal is pretty rough
Once you drop down, it gets a lot more smooth and is a nice, pleasant listen.

Yep, I changed it. I think it’s better now. I’ll upload the updated mix in a bitvomitHatSteve wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2024 11:32 am I'm not loving the first part. The vocal is pretty rough
