Ooh nice! And with P90s, that's awesome!

Is that an ES-175? I don't remember what the thinline semi-hollows are called. Trying to read the headstock...125? 195?

ES135. They're P100 pickups so Greg tells me. Hopefully he can explain what that means.

I've never heard of a P100. But they're obviously 10 better than a P90!

Nice score buddy! That appears to check a bunch of boxes you have been busy filling out the last little bit or so. Looks old as shit too. What's the story on this one?

I think it's a 1991. Lovely to play. Only noticed when I got it home that it really smells of smoke. Will oil and string it later.

You're going to have to practice your jazz licks now... consider getting a hat and growing a wispy moustache.

Nice score - didn't know you were actively looking for something like this.

That's a beautiful guitar. If it sounds half as good as it looks, I'm sure it'll be incredible. Enjoy it!🍻🍻🍻

Looks like something out of a Joe Pass video, very nice. Now all you have to do is make it sound like Joe Pass :cheers1:

It sounds great, haven't had chance to do any recording with it yet. Won't be long though. It also just feels great.

Yeah, I'd been looking for a while for a nice semi-hollow guitar. I'd never heard of an ES135 though until I saw it hanging on the hook in the shop. When I chose the guitars I wanted to try, I wasn't expecting to like it, I wasn't mainly just curious how it would feel in comparison to the Les Paul, and 339s I was trying.

One curious thing, do you think the long gap from the bridge to the tailpiece adds tension? It feels quite hard to bend on, but I do have a damaged tendon pully at the moment cos I dislocated a finger surfing last month.

Good question. I've only ever had guitars where the string anchor is right next to the bridge, so don't really know the answer - you'd think the same string tension between two points would offer the same resistance irrespective of the anchor style / distance, but you can definitely feel differences for 3 aside v 6 in line headstocks for the same scale length, so who knows. Although these could be nut related and bridge related as well. One for muttley, perhaps.

If they are actually P100s, that means they are stacked P90s. Less noisy. Like a P90 with a dummy humbucker coil.

Various spec sheets for them say P100. Sounds good and feel great anyway. How are you?

Utterly fucking knackered, trying to drag myself through each day, hoping I have enough energy when the kids have gone to sleep to play some music.

Just local/texas? Or did you go off on a proper holiday?
