They hooked up actual, physical pedals to a web interface. You can upload a riff and demo it through the actual pedal in real-time, adjusting all the parameters as they're presented on the pedal.
Then you can click on their referrer link to go buy it.

Awesome! I've seen this same setup with outboard mixing gear. There's a site out there that has racks of LA2A, 1176, Pultec EQ, and a bunch of other awesome expensive equipment. You can book a session and send your tracks through that stuff and adjust the parameters and all that jazz. I love this kind of thing.
