Mic Fluffy

What type and size you need, and where you should point it. Does a large diaphragm do a better job in preventing pregnancy than a small? WTF is phantom power and why do you need it? All these important questions and more, discussed within. Entendre at your own risk.

In the States, B&H Photo Video is a go-to place for such things. In the UK, I really don't know.

You might search for "dead cat", which is what the furry windscreens are sometimes called (over here at least). Kinda morbid, but creepily accurate :D

Rycote makes the Ball Gag, but sheesh those things are $120 USD. They look perfect though...better than a foam windscreen, more attractive than a dead cat.

Most of the ones that I see are made for shotgun mics, which makes sense. It's mostly video guys that are venturing outdoors with sensitive microphones. Us studio guys stay indoors with our toys :)

I use Crown Royal bags over the mics. Always gets a few laughs and is a conversation starter. :chillin

And it doubles as electrical protection from improper grounding. And I say this from multiple experiences. :sherlock:
