New Gear Day

Post by CrowsofFritz »

I bought a bunch of stuff on a payment plan from Sweetwater. It’ll cost about $160 per month for six months. This will be a good trial run when I have to pay my student loans again in six months which costs more than the $160 (boo). Here’s the gear I bought:

- A 12U rack

- Klark Teknik LA2A clone

- Patchbay

- Patch cables

- Power Conditioner.

I’ve read that the power conditioner can potentially remove unwanted noise from electrical stuff better than a power strip can, so maybe this will fix some problem? We’ll see! Anyway, I’m excited.

Wow, that'll be a lot of fun to play with! Let us know how the KT-2A works out. It's popped up on my YouTube feed a lot lately. Some people adore them, a few don't.

I also made a sizeable upgrade the other day on Sweetwater payments. I'm not ready to talk about it yet...I'm still in the "what have I done?!?" phase of acceptance :)

Lmao I went back and forth several times on it and my justification was that I need to instill budgeting habits in me before my loans start up.

Will for sure post updates!

Here’s the first of my gear. The compressor and power conditioner were on back stock so it will take longer.

Looking good! Looks like the beginnings of a sweet rack.

Well, I found out Sweetwater reduced the price of the compressor and patchbay just days after I bought it. They haven’t even shipped out the compressor yet I’m pissed.

I did it as a payment plan rather than paying all at once, so unfortunately not :frown:

Speak to the manager, Karen.

For real though, speak to a sales rep. They can modify your price after the fact when a product price drops immediately after you buy it.

^^^ this ^^^^^^

And I have found Sweetwater to be a great company willing to take proper care of their customers.
If it's just Sweetwater itself doing the financing and you didn't have to sign piles of paper I'd be surprised if they didn't accommodate ya'.

Plus they have a 30 day return policy for any reason ...... that doesn't go away just because you're making monthly payments.

They seem to be really good about helping if you're willing to call in.

I had an order a few weeks ago where I called in and basically said "I have a $300 hard cap on this order, and sales tax puts it at $320. Can you round it down?" and they did.

Sweetwater might have the best customer service of any company in the known universe or any other universe.

And they send you candy!

AND I told my rep that the only candy I like out of what they send is the Tootsie Rolls so now they just send me a bag with only tootsie rolls!

Lol yeah I like the Laffy Taffy.

But really I like damn near any candy that isn't black licorice.
