LOL woopdy effin doo

Post by Greg_L »

LOL oh a whole article about famous people that played all the instruments on their own albums. Never heard of that before. :k:

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/aut ... 08052.html

Someone introduce the writer of this article to literally any home recorder.

At least they got Sufjan on the list. Although it was 22 instruments that he played on Michigan, from what I remember.

I agree...where's our article? :D

I get close.
Quality wasn't an issue I take it.
Classic that Peyall records a solo right before knifing his bandmates.
He'd have to do everything to maintain his deep secret.
Paul Is Dead is overstating things...Paul's Soul Is Dead would be accurate though.
The articles author must be rather removed from lockdown reality.
Oh, Tame Impala...I bought the 1st album because it was supposed to be psych & Australian...instead it's boring and Australian.
Cheers

I am impressed with people who can record and play their own drums, mainly because I cannot play the drums.

But yeah, and I not sure these examples were doing the engineering of the recording. Homerecorders not only play and sing everything, they also are the engineers behind all of the tech stuff as well.

I've read interviews with Prince's crew. Yeah, he was very big into having good engineers (and having them back indefinitely)
