Add chunks of time to the front end of a song (Reaper)

Before i go googling i'll ask you turkeys.

I have a song i'm tracking and i want to add a few measure of empty space at the front end of it to add some stuff. The easy answer is to slide all the media upstream with the snap to guides on. However, my markers and time signature markers do not move with the media. I want to say there has to be a way to do this and if any of you knew that would be awesome. If not i'll go googling or dig deeper in the reaper forums and reddit.
