Trying to Expand My Vocal Range

Re: Trying to Expand My Vocal Range
It sounds ok ..... I do hear a couple of places where I think I can hear a bit of strain but it's not bad ...... would be usable in a mix.
And the voice is made by muscles and they're like any other so the key to expanding it is to sing a lot ..... up to a point the more the merrier.
Since I've been only doing 2 gigs a week I have noticed a loss of about a step in my range .... gotta start singing around the house I guess.

Thanks! I’m making a song and I’ll turn it down a half step and that should help a bit. Gotta keep singing.

Done.
Re: Trying to Expand My Vocal Range
I've expanded my range recently.
I can sing a couple of extra notes BUT they still sound like me which isn't helpful.

Re: Trying to Expand My Vocal Range
lol!
The sample sounds pretty good in general. I think you're singing through your nose a lot, which is giving you some issues. Ironically, it's not even on the highest notes. You're probably supporting the high notes better and singing with your mouth more open (because it's the only way you feel comfortable hitting them), but those techniques would benefit the others too.

Thanks VHS. I just lowered this whole thing down one fret and the results are much, much better. Only problem is that doesn’t help with my range.vomitHatSteve wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 5:37 pmlol!
