Well for starters they could get the snare off the damn floor and let the resonant head and snare wires breathe a little.

Ducks are for beginners. I've moved on to geese. I'm getting a pheasant for Christmas this year.

You'll be pheasantly surprised at how good the goose can be if you use a ducking compressor.
