Done. I feel pretty confident, but we'll see.

I called the first sample the amp in all 3 tests, but I liked the second one better. The first sample just sounded like it was in a bad room each time.

I want to think i did o.k. with this. I have used sims predominantly for the last bunch of years and my experience of trying to hide a sims tell tale sim-ness may have helped me out here. Some of the samples had a very defined individual string clarity that drives me nuts about sims that i try to make an effort to remove from my sims.

I might have been really wrong. Can't wait to see how it all pans out.

For my part, while I could definitely hear some difference in tone between each clip (Wasn’t really wild about any of them), and I guess I kind of preferred one over the other, I had no clue whatsoever amp vs sim.

Still pretty fun though!

For the clean one, I said the first one was the sim. For the next two, I said the second one was the sim. I’m just writing this here so I don’t forget when I see the results.

My results were the exact opposite of yours. The highly undesirable tones of the clips made them difficult to listen to let alone pick favorites. With all of the variables involved, I'm not sure how any logical conclusions can be drawn from this exercise. YMMV.
Another toy that helped destroy the elder race of man..forget about your silly whim it doesn't fit the plan.

See, that’s why I think we’re either gonna be completely right or completely wrong. No in between. We shall see!

For me on the clean one I thought the first was an amp
for crunch I thought the 2nd was the amp
for the distorted I thought the first was the amp
