This is my solo'd bass from the "I Can't Sleep" mix. It's dirtier than my usual bass tones but I think it sounds pretty cool. If I remember correctly, during this time period I was recording bass through a big daddy Ampeg SVT and 8x10 bass cab. Stock Fender P-Bass. I don't remember the mic....probably a 57 or an SM7b....about a foot off the cab. That's how I used to do it.
I want ot say that the free stock Amplitube Amp Sim porgram comes with one Bass Amp Sim. I can't remember for certain as it's been so long so i installed the free one.
It's a free and it is supposed to have been modeled after a Sans Amp driver. I downloaded it about two years ago and never installed it so i am not sure how good it is.
This is less than 5 minutes of playing but I like it! I will definitely use this, thanks! I imagine this would sound a lot better with a decent bass performance and recorded a bit better, but this gives me an idea.

The BOD is pretty good, I've used it several times but using a BDI21 is better and micing an amp is FAR better.

That is entirely why i haven't used it ray. I have a little bass rig and decentish mic for it i may as well use it and so far ive liked it more than any sim ive used. I still can pin down the rattle in the cabinet but it sounds ok at the volume i have it set at now.
