FREEBIE

Post by rayc »

Around this time last year I told of a chap I co-wrote a song with who gave me his brand new 2019 BIAB USB hard drive and licence. He'd already bought the update so when he was awarded the new version, rather than take it or a refund, he asked BIAB to send me his award.
This year BIAB awarded him another one but also me. It's about US$280 to upgrade from the previous version or US$469 as a 1st time purchase.
That's not bad for almost free. To be awarded a pack one had to have had:
- great compositions/arrangements/productions - not me
- use lots of Band-in-a-Box or RealBand (RealTracks or MIDI) - def. not me
- most contributions - not me
- other contribution to the forum (songwriting tips etc.) - maybe me - but audio tips.
Not a huge company and their coding needs a lot of debugging with the initial releases but it's pretty much what I expect from Canadians.
Cheers

That's awesome Ray!

Don't sell yourself short you have put together some really good songs/recordings using BIAB in some form or fashion.

I think it's really cool the way you use it as a creative launching pad.
