Mick Fleetwood's snare sound

Does anyone know what snare he uses or how they achieve the sound? Its really good.

It was the 70s. Right? Probably a Ludwig, Sonor, Premier, Rogers...could be any of those.

There's something weird about it. Almost like its toneless. Just a really crispy sound, almost like its being hit with a brush, but really hard.

actually in the 70's it could have even been a cardboard box ..... seriously.
They were really going for that dead sound

I recall reading something where Mick said on some of the songs on Rumors he was using a chair for a snare. I assume it was one of those vinyl covered restaurant type chairs. I'll see if I can dig it out.

Just on a quick search I found that he went from Rogers to Ludwig to Tama, but it didn't say which drums for which periods or albums.

I read something similar but I'm sure it was that he was using the leather drum stool as a snare. I use mine for that boxxy sound. Works great.

I used a Tupperware container in 76 if that helps.
