right, I got on find with my Fender Focal Passport Studio ones - doing a bit of research, they actually have really good reviews and I seem to have picked them up at a great price - they're now listed at nearly £400 quid, but I got them for about £200. I was hoping to spend £250 - 300 on a pair, keeping it below £275 if possible 'cos there's a bunch of things I want in the early part of next year. I hope to get some good discounts in January.

Most of you have seen my room, its small, but moderately treated and I have worked out how to use it fairly well where I can get the results to transfer to the car/downstairs stereo and stuff pretty well. I do have a clear listening spot in the room.

Cheers, Tad. Warren Huart seems to know his onions. They're also just about in budget.
I'm hoping to get mine fixed but I'm not convinced it I'll manage it.

I have a gear budget for the early part of next year, but hadn't factored monitors into it yet.
