New Interface

Post by ocnor »

I just got a new MOTU 828ES interface. The sound quality from this thing is fucking amazing! I always thought that AD/DA converters were all pretty much the same, but man I was wrong. The Presonus and Focusrite interfaces that I've used sound like a transistor radio compared to the MOTU. The clarity and detail that you hear through this sucker is just mind blowing. It's like the difference between a 128 MP3 and a Wav file. My studio monitors went from sounding meh to WOW!

Nice dude, I'd looked at that interface quite a few times, but ended up buying a Tascam 16x08 because of the xlr/mic inputs...

I've got an ART TubeOpto8 on the way so xlr inputs won't be a problem.

I've always been of the same opinion - I'm quite surprised you're seeing such a difference... although it is a big step up in price!

I finally realized that I could keep sinking money into guitars and amps and still be unsatisfied with my tone.
