That’s cool. I don’t know if they still do it but Memphis Drum Shop would do a video for the exact cymbal they had listed, new cymbals. Was pretty cool. As you may know, I love cymbals!

I shouldn't be so lazy...I should have bothered to look a little harder before I assumed the other manufacturers *didn't* also have demos of their wares.
For example, with a couple of minutes of searching on youtube, I found Zildjian's equivalent series of videos (link below). It's not quite as nicely organized as Meinl's, given that they have all sorts of different videos of products mixed together, and Meinl has a separate account for their products. Still...here it is:

(Maybe, if *I* get organized in my searching, I can build a list of links to all the major manufacturer's cymbal demos, and we could get this thread stickied.

One more: I also easily found Paiste's demos on their site -- http://www.paiste.com/e/cymbalfam.php?menuid=3 -- which looks fairly complete, but a huge pain to navigate. AND YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD ZIP FILES! Ain't nobody got time for that!
They also have a playlist on teh toobz (link below), but it doesn't look as complete nor as controlled, making comparison shopping by internet less reliable. (And of course, one should probably actually try out cymbals before buying...)
