That is a cozy room Lt. Bob Sensory overload for my eyes. I could sit and just look at everything in those photos for hours and find something new each time. Very cool. Almost like a museum kind of thing.
You should do a walk through of that desk some time and everything thats on it. it deserves its own thread!!!
vomitHatSteve Your room looks really good dude!

I couldn't just set the interface on the shelf of the cart because of the raised sides...so I had to come up with something.
That is two pieces of fiber board from my cat's old scratching post that just happened to be the same width of the 2i2.
Then I took 4 left over brackets from a TV mounting kit to hold it together and zip tied the whole thing to the cart. The cable hangers(S hooks)were something my wife ordered for her kitchen racks that were too big.

Just reorganised a few things. Actually worked out the angles of my monitors properly and calculated where my ideal listening position should be in this room.
I'm not surprised that my mixes were always dark before - weird to hear the bottom end come so clearly audible in a way that it never has before.

Hell yeah, man. I love the aesthetic and the sound, I jam out to the Beatles pretty loudly.

"Steve, do you have *any* kind of sound treatment"
Well, formerly, I had a bunch of burlap curtains. And by curtains, I mean swaths of untreated burlap stapled to the wall
Well, my partner didn't like that look, so now we're in the midst of the laborious process of dying it a pretty sea green and hanging it from real curtain rods

Make some wood frames for your burlap and stuff the frames full of loft insulation.

I gonna try the Goodwill towels method for my "drum room".
Step 1: Go to a thrift store
Step 2: buy boxes of old bath and beach towels for pennies.
Step 3 - turn them into bass trap filler.

Re: Time for another "show us your home studio" thread!
Yeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea.
The one thing I've always been hesitant about with that plan is that the curtains can easily cover the entire room, whereas with real traps I'd have to figure out optimal placements for them.
Re: Time for another "show us your home studio" thread!
That won't take you long. There's loads of info about where to place them. I've done them, WJ did some really cool ones where he used old band t shirts.vomitHatSteve wrote: ↑Wed Aug 19, 2020 11:49 amYeah, that wouldn't be a bad idea.

I’m gonna be moving into a house these next few months and I should have my own studio room. It’s gonna look boss.

Me and WJ have both done videos on arranging and treating small rooms at home to make recording spaces.CrowsofFritz wrote: ↑Tue Sep 08, 2020 12:30 pm I’m gonna be moving into a house these next few months and I should have my own studio room. It’s gonna look boss.
