I would definitely go for it if I could source the timber. I wouldn't know where to start getting some decent-sized lumps of Ash for the body and Maple for the neck. :smiles:

For one off solid blanks you would be best calling Dave Dykes luthier supplies. They wont steer you wrong. Good guy..

I could, but I'd have to load up the motorcycle saddle bags, a couple of back packs and the crate on the back of the seat, then travel 50+ks to get to the nearest machine.
That would be an infrequent trip though as there's no high rise for about 30ks north and the said 50 south so gathering the recyclables would take some time.
