Lol...Fuck man, there's no doubt in my mind you can pull this off... :coolstorybro:

Something that's been on my mind for a long time, programming the fuckin' drums is what takes so much time for me...Even when I play with the e-kit, I still have to smooth a lotta stuff out, so it eats a lot of time...But, I'm gonna try something different on this, I'm gonna render the multi-track drums to wav files, & treat those tracks like I recorded them with a real kit...So I'll have to get the "performance" right from the get-go, because I'm not gonna manipulate the midi after I record/bounce the drums down...

I have a really stupid idea for this. So stupid that it just might work :D

And hey Minerman it's good to see you!

I thought that I was going to have to dismantle my studio this week, but I think I can keep it all intact through the process of showing the house as we list and sell it. I'll just have to get the little things cleared out, since those are the things likely to grow legs and walk away as a bunch of strangers and their kids wander through our house without me here to supervise. It's such a gross process.

There is no deadline. Just something to get all of us recording. I love this type of thing as I am usually so hypercritical of my work that I never get anything done. Either that or I am just lazy, but I like the first answer better :)

Drum programming for me takes a while too, but each time I think I get better at it. I wish I could play drums, had a kit, and could just record it like I do vocals and guitar. It would make the process so much easier.

Anyway, looking forward to hearing what you got.

Got my song picked out and will record it later this week.

You and me both man. I can find every reason under the sun to not post anything up becasue nothing is ever good enough for me and i hate that about myself. Or if i am not picking myself apart i am finding a new way of doing something so then i gotta try it and it doesn;t work and thne everything sucks and i just sit and spin my tires on stuff for actual years. No lie. The "simple cover song" i started working on to make a reaper template out of in like 2014 is still a work in progress. Total bullshit and no one to blame but myself. it's not like i have drummer or an arrogant cocky singer to blame becasue he didn't show up for recording sessions HaHa!

You aren't alone man. i think these recording challenges are going to be a really good thing for me. to keep the motivation and drive going with a purpose. :like: :happytrees:
