Do you remember how far away the mic was?
About eight inches to a foot away, aimed between the pickups, straight on, dynamic mic, fairly hard pick but consistent strum so that there's was less opportunity for pick noise to overwhelm.
it may have been one of my "fang" picks - has a 3 millimetre V cut out of the point so it strikes twice.

I don't know if you have a U-Haul or equivalent but if you do they have cardboard boxes 12x12"x18". And I think you can get that size pretty much anywhere you can get boxes and I think because of how records pack in them, they'd be far better than totes ....
A record fits in them perfectly with no room to move around and you can get about 110-120 per box and they're straight up with no angled or curved walls like almost all totes have..
And you can stack them really as much as 3 high if you have to.
No U-Haul but I'm searching for that size and hope to come up with a match or get close. THANKS.
The KT 2A got pushed back to September!!! Fuck that! I noticed the KT 76 was in stock. I planned on getting that in the future anyway so I guess I’ll just do it in reverse.

Just cancel, mate. That's awful service.
Yep. Cancelled. Got the 1176 instead. It’d be one thing if they were more honest about their delays but they have moved it back 5 times now and have offered no explanation.

Anyone have an idea of why it kept getting pushed back, though? I know there’s a chip shortage, so maybe there is a similar thing with a part for the device. The 1176 is in stock now so it has to be a specific part exclusive to the LA2A. Maybe it’s the electro-luminescent panel, which would be pretty important.

Got it working. At first it was making a weird metal detector alien like noise whenever I moved the input and output knobs, but it seems to be working fine now. Very fast and clean compression. I wish I had the 2A instead, but this is still great for my needs. It sounds nice with bass.
