Multi-multitracked video - "Cecilia"
Multi-multitracked video - "Cecilia"
This one took a lot of processing power. I think the only video missing from this is the bass drum. Out of all of this, I think I am most proud of my cowbell skills. Think I might challenge Will Ferrell to a duel.

Cool.
Why do you drop the Ce from Cecilia when it starts a line?

another nice job on this
Re: Multi-multitracked video - "Cecilia"
You're right.
I reckon I'd be irresistibly tempted to add the missing syllable.
Probably my long standing dislike of the short of the two.
Cheers

Re: Multi-multitracked video - "Cecilia"
I too was wondering about that dropped syllable. I haven't listened to the original in years.
Nice work.

Thanks guys! I've always loved this song. It's like the perfect little pop song.

Nice work...
LIke ray, when I heard it I thought the same thing about the missing first syllable, and sure enough, it's not there on the original. Never even noticed that...

That's really cook paulman.
Harmonies sound really good.
What are computer specs to pull off all that video?

Re: Multi-multitracked video - "Cecilia"
Thanks musicturtle! I have a Macbook Pro mid-2014. 2.8 GHz Intel Core i7, 16 GB memory, Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB for graphics. Adobe Premiere is the software I used. I also used my recording drive, which is a solid state drive in a 2 slot bay that connects with Thunderbolt. So while the software is running off the internal solid state drive, the video is rendered to an external solid state drive. Even with all that, it was still a pain to do. It's hard to preview with that many videos running. I'd love to see how a desktop Mac would handle it, but that would cost more than my car.musicturtle wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 6:24 pm That's really cook @paulman.

From far away I thought you were hitting the mic in the top right video and I just thought “WHAT?!?” but I’m glad you weren’t lol. Good recording!
“Naaaaaaaaaah man. I ain’t touching that mic. That thing’s expensive!”
Re: Multi-multitracked video - "Cecilia"
Ha! Thanks so much! Yeah, an SM57 could probably hold up to being used as a percussion instrument, but not the Avantone. I'm playing a guira stuffed with a t-shirt in that video. That mic is great at picking up the character of instruments like that.CrowsofFritz wrote: ↑Mon Jan 20, 2020 6:04 pm From far away I thought you were hitting the mic in the top right video and I just thought “WHAT?!?” but I’m glad you weren’t lol.
