Camel Crusher
Anyone tried this?

Gonna download and have a play with it on vocals on the weekend but it seems like something I might like.
Oooo, just came across this too

Re: Camel Crusher
I kind of like how it sounds on the bass and drums in their demo, but that piano and guitar! Nope!
Re: Camel Crusher
I was going to use it mainly as a vocal effect.
Re: Camel Crusher
Neither will run on XP - bummer. I downloaded a lot of freebees yesterday and none would run on XP. Oh well, too much choice is bad anyway. I did, however, get a VST that had been frozen to run happily again after installing & uninstalling a heap of stuff so something good came from the exercise.
Cheers

Ray - you've reminded me. I totally forgot to download these two for a play yesterday.
Re: Camel Crusher
tried the camel crushed at loads of different settings on vocals. All I got were varying degrees of shite.
Re: Camel Crusher
How did "phat" mode sound? Phucking awphul?
Re: Camel Crusher
I've spent a bit more time with this now, I think I went a bit too crazy with it before. I've also now got a better understanding of what it all does. It's actually pretty good and is pretty much just what I was after, just got to be quite sparing with it cos it gives quite a lot if distortion at relatively low levels on the dial.
I've also been using the Softube Saturation Knob which offers probably a slightly better sound but is a little less versatile as you can't control the output volume so you need to use it in conjunction with your fader.
