Hello folks,
I haven't veered from ReaVerb for quite some time - & I have a bunch of impulse files years ago through the generosity of one of our founders so have been as happy as...
I've been toying with my Mel9 pedal and trying to set things up to get as close to the sound represented on the classic 'Tron albums like King Crimson 1st few and the Moody Blues as well as Genesis pre Gabriel's departure.
The research says most of those used a Fender Twin reverb with LOTS of spring reverb as well as a dynamic mic and top end roll off at 8kHz.
Now I thought I'd have most of that covered with an old, old version of Guitar Rig I almost never used but having tried it I find that now, and maybe even then, it freezes almost as soon as an amp model is selected.
That leaves me with stuff I have lying around -
the Behringer GDI21 has the Fender general settings and sounds OK with the Mel9 - the BDI21 sounds even better,
I have dynamics mics as well as a mic modeller prog that I've not used for a decade or more but it still runs without a glitch.
ReaEQ works well for the roll off
which leaves the reverb.
I've downloaded three free reverb VSTs that have Spring settings BUT none of them will load in my Reaper XP environment.
Are there any settings in Reaverb that match "spring"/reverb tank sound?
Any other suggestions? I do have Glaceverb but stopped using it as it often causes conflicts and causes crashes.

Re: Spring reverb VST
Ray, I have a huge pile of spring impulse files. They'll work with Reaverb. I'll send em to you.
