The Dilbert Guy - new toon

Post by vomitHatSteve »

I don't know who else follows unhinged comics as closely as they follow American politics, but the guy who writes Dilbert has been getting increasingly weird and incoherent since 2016.

I wouldn't say his crazy has "peaked" but certainly one relevant high point is this tweet.

So I wrote a song about the explicit claim that the guy - who again, writes Dilbert - might pre-emptively murder random strangers

Good vhs tune here.

Like the "Again and again" part.

And the lyric:

"His forearms swollen from gripping his mighty pen
His frontal lobe engorged like a geek leviathan" :lollers2:

A good take on the growing weirdness of that chap - he now has a subscriber only comic strip of Dilbert Revived or something like that and he proves, in-arguably, that loony right wingers can't do comedy. It's hilariously bad regurgitation of MAGA talking/drooling points.
As to the original comic - didn't see it often and didn't find it funny when I did.
The song is funny, weird, a comic strip in sound and I like the VHSness of it.
Cheers

I used to really like the guy's stuff (heck, this isn't even my first song called "The Dilbert [something]"), but he has gotten weird

Thanks for the listen!

LOL!!!

this is pretty good man. I am listening on my cans and some of the higher end stuff is a little aggressive. Esp that little cricket or locust sample over there on the left.

Really good lyrics. An on trend Regdar jam.

Actually i'm half way thru now and it has clamed down a little bit. Much less aggressive. Your unhinged STAAAAHPPPS" around 2:08 and 2:11 feels like it is in a different space kinda. I don't know if trying to squash it more will help or if you just kind of moved in closer to the mic to create the enhinged in your face dramatics intentionally but it does take on a different feel and texture for sure.

The "staaahpps" may very well be in a different place. I forget if I used my "main" vocal chain on that or if they're in the BGVox stack
