I always remember, whenever Minerman ordered something it would take bloody weeks to reach him.

Re: Stringjoy
You did. It was great.
Re: Stringjoy
You could use the extra length once snipped off to patch your fence and keep your Welsh sheep under control...
Re: Stringjoy
Okay several hours of playing and band practices and recording...these strings are holding up pretty great. They still sound nice and clear and stay in tune really really well. I'm actually pretty impressed.
If my usual Ernie Ball 10-46 are the baseline, and NYXLs are the gold standard, I'd say these fall pretty squarely in between, or maybe a little closer to the NYXL side.

Re: Stringjoy
I almost bought a set a couple weeks ago because they were having a promotion where each purchase would enter you into a drawing to win a Les Paul. But I didn't because I haven't even dug into the box of 25 sets of NYXL I bought at Christmas last year
That promotion might still be on, I'm not sure.

Re: Stringjoy
I have around 40 sets of strings ...... so I'm covered for a bit.
Re: Stringjoy
After those mammoth daily gigs in the Florida heat, humidity, sweat and salt, how did a set of string hold up? Were you changing them daily or weekly or what? Seems that would be brutal on a set of strings! (also on the artist )
Re: Stringjoy
I’m still using them on electric, mainly because I’ve been trying out different gauges on every string and you can get custom sets from Stringjoy. I’d like to try other brands but I’m more concerned about gauges. They are good strings though.
Their acoustic strings didn’t get what I wanted out of my Hummingbird, but they might with a different guitar.

Re: Stringjoy
I did a thread on that comparing the life of different brands .... I replaced them when they lost intonation at the 12th fret or a string broke.
Ernie Balls did the best at 20 gigs or 80 hours before replacement.

Re: Stringjoy
Cool. I think I'll just stay the course with my NYXL's then.
