Post by Lt. Bob »

I'm having a bear of a time find replacement ligatures for my Santy Runyon Spoiler mthpces.

keep ordering stuff .... doesn't fit .... send it back.

I'm using a ligature that's too big and curver a cut up credit card to fit under it and take up slack but it's hardly ideal.

No horn players here but me but I thought I'd post it anyways.

I had to do some research to find out what a sax ligature was.
I then had TOO much onformation.
Interestingly clarinetists used a leather cord before the ligature was 1st designed and made.
For those as ignorant as I was & am....

Wow ..... thanks for the vid ..... I';; check it out.

I finally did get some that fit ..... got three of them in fact, all with different ideas of how to get some mass vibrating with the reed to accent certain frequencies.
Haven't had them long enough to check them all out so we'll see what i find out in a week or two.
