The band's been going quite a while. They bloody well sound like them as well. "Johnny" has all the attitude and banter that you would expect, and sings EXACTLY like him.

Last time I saw Joey he was wearing, badly, spandex duds. Did the Sid clone just wander around, be aggro and not manage to play much?
Cheers

As long as he didn't shoot the audience before walking off stage...

Looks like a good gig, Bubba.

That was the best part of the movie.
Bubba,
did your mob alter their set list so as not to duplicate/compete/steal thunder?

I thought Sid Vicious was pretty cool when I was 14. By 15 I knew he was a total fucking loser. I've despised Sid worship ever since. There are so so many better punk rock icons.

He died just before I was born. Maybe I'm his reincarnation.

You can actually play guitar, so probably not.

Yeah, we had to drop a couple of Pistols ones. We didn't do Blizkrieg Bop either, but that wouldn't have made it into a 40 minute set, in any case!

Truth be told, I think musically we would've played the Pistols songs equally as well, if not a bit better. The drummer played like some kind of brutal war machine, not the solid but musical style of Paul Cook. Sid's bass tone was bad, even though he was using our amp. I'm confident I can play the songs better with more of the classic Steve Jones embellishments, but to give the singer his due, he was superb. Not just the tone and phrasing of his voice, he got the Rotten "lisp" spot on, too.
