The lovely racket of a vintage open reel tape machine...

Post by sweetbeats »

Those of you who know anything about me know the past several years have been tumultuous. I've not made headway on equipment projects as much as I'd like secondary to transitions and drama.

One such project is my 3M M-64 halftrack.

Up until a couple nights ago I don't think the thing has seen the business end of a power cable in over 3 years, but it did a couple nights ago, just because. And I was reminded how neat the sounds and mechanical actions are. These 3M machines are hard-core; absolute brilliant design and (over) engineering.

Anyway, I captured a short video so you can enjoy the noises and visuals too:

Lovely looking machine - need a bit of isolation for recording but lovely.
