New Amp Day
Re: New Amp Day
I guess the name must mean something to the owner, and plus it's only a name. But, to me, it doesn't have the same charm as a "Lucille" or a real Southern Belle name like "Lacey Mae" or "Desiree". But whatever. Name shmame.

Rebel Yell
Re: New Amp Day
Yeah...like I said, it doesn't bother me at all.
I think "Carol-Ann" has a '50s sound to it....and hey, that's when Rock-n-Roll began.

It does sound 50's-ish. I actually like the name itself. It just doesn't get my attention the way an amp named "Ellie Mae" would.
But it's no big deal.

Re: New Amp Day
Actually, it's one of the few old shows I never got into. I don't know why. I do still watch Gilligan's Island and Get Smart episodes. I'm not sure why I don't have a thing for the Hillbillies. But I do have a thing for Ellie frickin' Mae.

Ah ok. Thought so, but wasn't sure. Well, that gives the name more relevance, too.

Re: New Amp Day
The amp that has the sound of a bad TV signal and a little girl calling out across phased and panned static - cool amp.
It sounded fine to me, I don't play well enough o want something with blues lead cream.
Hey, TV back in the time of the original movie was "wireless"too.

Nice amp! I don't know much about them but have seen them around online. As far as the name goes I don't mind it at all.
