WJ, did you ever like a 90s band from the Midwest called Split Lip or Chamberlain? You'd probably like their earlier stuff
Not that i consciously remember, but the name sounds familiar and i feel like now that i hear what youtube is offering me i may have heard them in a snowboard vid. But yea man they are fantastic actually. They have a pretty cool sound. I may go on a hunt for a few of these to purchase. I really dig them man.
I am gonna tap out of this thread for now go get something done.

Lol. I don't know, but whoever they are, they got a real disappointment.
NO shit. A friend of mine had a bassman and it sure as hell didn't sound like that haha.

It does have a great sound, but its a pretty generic song really - sounds almost like a teenage tragedy song with rocking guitars.
Lol. Another one? Okay, let me introduce you to Social Distortion.

I've not heard much social distortion actually. A bunch of guys strumming G, D, Em and C with a really nice guitar sound probably isn't the best introduction to them.

Well then stay away because that's pretty much every single Social Distortion song. Most of them are much faster than Prison Bound, but they're like SoCal punk rock AC/DC.

Not enough phrygians.
haha, just severely lacking in attitude. Listening to it, I'm actually pretty surprised you like it, I wouldn't have thought it was your sort of thing either... that's the cool thing about music though, sometimes you like things that you wouldn't expect.

To me they're just solid rock and roll songs. They're not blazing fast, they're not technical or difficult, there are no extraneous unnecessary wanker guitar solos, Mike Ness sings in his own voice, the instrument sounds are raw and natural and gritty and great. What's not to like?
