Slant back cabinets.

Why are these a thing? Im sure there is science behind them. Anyone here have knowledge or thoughts on the matter?

The speaker(s) point a little up, so the player can hear them more truthfully.

The work "back" is what threw me. Slant cabs are, as mentioned, to open the throw angle of the cabinet. If it is being used as a half stack, it helps the guitarist hear the cab better because all the speakers aren't pointing at thier ankles.
