I currently use 2 different boards depending on which band I'm playing with.

This one is for my 4 piece that you guys have heard on the live recordings. I normally don't bother with the delay in this band; in fact I haven't used it since July 4 last summer (when I took this pic). I use a '61 Fender Princeton for an amp.

This is the other board (Boss RT-20, TC Flashback Delay, TC Gravy, Overdrive, old Dunlop Wah) . There's a SD-1 there (it's an original Made in Japan) where I would normally have my Jekyll and Hyde but I left it at my last gig and I haven't gotten it back from my bass player yet. The flanger isn't currently hooked up but with this band I'll need a flanger soon. All of this goes to my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III. The only mod to the amp is I changed the stock Fender speaker with a Celestion Vintage 30. That speaker is finally breaking in and starting to sound right.

Greg, how often do you use that phaser? How is it? I've been thinking about the Phase 95 which is supposed to be both the Phase 90 and Phase 45 circuits in there. Demos sound pretty good and the price is right for something I won't use a lot of.

I hardly ever use it. There are a few passages in a few songs that I use it live, but for the most part it's off. I prefer a flanger when I wanna get spacey. It's more subtle. The phaser is pretty aggressive.

Interesting. I plan on not using it a lot, but it seems useful for some of the stuff Ive been messing around with. Im kind of trying to find my place I guess. I dont know if Id get along with a flanger, I didnt like chorus at all really.

A flanger falls kind of between a chorus and a phaser. Flangers are tricky though. They can sound like ass or be great.

The phaser for me is cool, but it's not something I want to use too much. I think lead layers might find it more useful. I tend to prefer flangers as I'm playing rhythm mostly.

I actually tend to NOT use mod effects for leads .... I feel they simply murk everything up to where you have no note distinction.
I guess if you're just playing noodling type stuff you might want to hide what you're playing.

But I like for what I'm playing to be clear and present.

I almost always only use any mod device for chordal work.

Too cute. I can't even focus on the pedals she's so cute. Just make sure you step on the left. :)

Tidy thing Mr liv_rong.
If I did more than stuff around in a spare room I'd want one of those.
Cheers

Well, I built another new board for myself lol. Still waiting on a cable for the switch that controls the favorite function on the El Capistan. And since taking this picture I did fix the output on the El Cap as well lol. I am hoping this keeps me content for a while :murcah:
