Dr. Dan Marshall Clones

Post by WhiskeyJack »

Returned the JCM back to L&M yesterday and struck up a convo with hatfiled Creek who, not so shockingly is also from my home province back east in Nova Scotia, and he got to telling me about a guy from there that builds some Marshall clones. curiosity got the best of me on my break this morning and i found this on you tube. 2nd vid is an iphone video and he is stepping away on pedals which kind of sucks but very interesting.

he doesn't seem to have a huge presence and i think he is just a mostly a hobby builder. They show up on reverb from time to time. Seems legit. Nice sounding amp too.

Curious to see what the experts hear?

That 1959 replica sounds pretty sweet.

The 2203 clip is a little odd. He obviously does not have them turned up enough because if he did they'd blow his camera mic apart.

But both of those amps are shockingly simple inside. It would not surprise me one bit if they're good.
