have you actually done a swirl job on anything mutt? I suppose if i customer asks you to do it i suppose you'd have to eh.
I know how to do them, I kind of insist on learning how to do stuff I see with guitars otherwise how can I pass comment from a professional point of view.

I have done a few bodies for people but frankly the sort of people that want that sort of guitar dont come to me. I'm glad about that.

Right, back on track guys. You will have seen from my recent posts on this that the build has got ahead of the videos. Thats mostly due to demands of the workshop time.

I am going to put up a few videos in the next day or so that should bring us up to speed.

I'm going to be shooting the finish on this later in the week as the freezing temps round here have eased and I can get my spray set up running at a tempreture that should be OK for nitro and I really want to get this thing done. Trouble is paying work keeps getting in the way... Before I do that I wanted to get the videos upto date.

Part six (I think) is below.. Enjoy.

I've loved watching folk doing good work since a lad watching construction workers then progressed to enjoying the certainty and grace of a master artisan. Thanks Mutt.

Have had a bit of time this week to crack on with the finishing. I want to get to the point where all thats needed is the clear coat as I have a bunch of clear coating to do next week. Here is a brief vid of the grain fill and shooting the primer coat before base coat. I hope to get the base colour coat on tomorrow.

It did look expensive when you were expoying. Gun metal grey as in Tom Robinson's Cortina?

That was after just one base coat. Now it has got a few on and is ready for the clear coat tomorrow it looks even better. I will try and chuck a pic up but the camera doesn't really capture the metallic like it should. Once it has four or five clear coats on it this thing will shine.
