I was impressed with the intro guitar & then WHAM.
Another cool yule tune.
Lovely job Greg. How hard was the kid wrangling this time?
I hope you don't mind me downloading & keeping this.
Sorry - cough! Nice touch.
Cheers

Ha thanks Ray. Of course I don't mind you keeping it.

The kids are older now. It's funny, we started this about ten years ago now, and they were totally into it as little kids. It was fun. Then they got into their early teens and everything was a pain in the ass. Moody, grumpy, I had to threaten their lives to get them focused on these songs. But they plowed through them. Now they're older and they're back into it again so there's no end in sight!

Awesome! This was my face while listening =>
awesome youtube comment of the day
Lol it's still less satanic than whatever rituals Katie Perry and Taylor Swift do in their performances. πŸ˜‚

haha, excellent mate. That's some epic punk drumming in the intro! I think I've only heard the last three of these, your kids are getting better at singing.

Thats going on my Christmas day playlist along with Bubba's Fairytale cover. Love it,I cover that on the uke every christmas at some of the gigs I do. Whats especially nice is that all of us some how if even tacitly had a hand in forcing you to put it together..

Great mix too. Love the guit sound. I know some serious players that dont even get close to that. :like:

Awesome. I can't chug remotely as fast on the guitar. I like the sound you've got on the guitar solo - loads of bite and tone, just the correct amount of crunch. The intro occasionally reminds me of GD roundabout the American Idiot album. Excellent work. :)

Yes, I thought it was excellent. Such depth and cultural relevance from a Christmas song, who would have thought it? It would be churlish to mention that there was no such thing as an NYPD choir - it exists to us and that's all that matters.

What was predictable was that none of the American pipe band who bang about being Irish new the words to Galway Bay... :facepalm2:

Yeah, there's a terrific amount of "Oirishness" over there. Nobody does St. Paddy's day like New Yorkers. :D

Thank you everybody. :cheers1:

When I sat down to learn the song, I realized the chords are pretty similar to Linoleum by NOFX. The wifey and I love NOFX, so for shits and grins I started the song with that intro to throw her off. She fell for it. :boombox

Bubba and Mutt - Those tones are all my SG with the Mutt90. It's the only guitar I used for the whole song. The rhythms are through a JCM 800 and my new to me 73 Super Lead. The lead is through the Super Lead. :guitarhero:
