Fairytale of New York

Post by Bubba »

I thought we needed somewhere to post our stuff once it's finished.

I'm hoping to post mine either tomorrow or Monday, but ideally tomorrow.

Fill 'er up, Rebels!

Ok, it's finally all done! The mix might need tweaking, but it's essentially finished.

Merry Christmas Scumbags, Maggots and Cheap, Lousy Faggots!

Bubbs i loved this!! Great job. Huge Pogues fan here. Had all the feel of the original but with your own spin on it. The wofe and i loved it. Just listened to it in the car on the way home from lunch!! We couldnt help but have a good lol at the back and forth lines! Brilliant. Im not even going to comment on the mix. For what it is and its intended purpose its perfect as is.

Bravo.

Excellent, really glad you enjoyed it! I've since improved the snare sound and taken the bass down a little notch. :smiles:

No worries, mate. Just listened to it again.
Am I supposed to post mine in this thread too? I've already posted it in two places!

I haven't thought this through. Perhaps it's best if they have their own threads.

Should we compile all holday songs in here or does everyone want their own thread?

I guess each tune deserves it's own home. I'll fix this up. in hindsight all in one spot could a bit of a clusterfuck.

One spot when they're all done probably. Each obviously needs it's own thread for mix commentary

Thanks, Greg. I finally managed to tune the kick to get a good sound pre-eq. Strange thing to be proud of, but it's been bugging me for a while, now.

Speaking of that kick, I think you could bring it up a hair, but overall all of the drums sound pretty good. Much improved. :coolstorybro:
