The Keeper VIDEO

Post by rayc »

Yeah, cheap & cheerful collage vid for the song that features Greg & Bubba.
Gone
I've made some spelling and other changes to address suggestions etc...
A few more tweaks are needed but I'm filling in time whilst the a tradie is in the house.
Gone
Here's version three. No transitions as the program I used really doesn't do them well or without knock on damage.

Thanks Chaps. There are a few little things I need to tidy up or change but this is close to sufficient for my purposes.

Hey Ray you spelled my last name wrong in the intro. Not a big deal but if you wanna fix that, go ahead.

Yeah, I've managed to get it right plenty of previous times.
I was a little distracted - tradesman in the house doing repairs so I had one eye on the task and one ear on the repairs.
I'll fix it today.

ray - you should get over your inherent modesty with the "blink and you'll miss it" appearance you make in the beginning credits.

It's your song - go first, and get a picture of yourself that's in focus, and keep yourself up there for as long as the other guys...

Also, fade your changes in over half a second. It's too jerky... :like:

David, I've done a couple of the things you've suggested but haven't done the transitions yet as I have to learn that aspect of the prog I'm using - not my old fave WMM anymore.

Seconded - I spotted that too.:) I didn't watch it all the way through, as my inherent modesty prevented me from doing so. Also, most of the images Ray managed to rip from my Facebook seem to all be of me wearing a comedy fat suit.

Bob,
I've altered things a little. Not much compared to V2 but a little tidier, no bleed from video stock etc.

Fun song. I liked it.

Mostly I thought everything sounded pretty good.

My only constructive thought is that the vocal is pretty upfront and dry.

The bass is a bit twangy for me, but that's highly subjective. I'm sure a lot of people would like it that way.

Everything else is great.

Nice, ray. The mix sounds good over here, nice choices for guests :)

Agreed that some transitions might spice it up a bit, but my first task would be to find a way to crop the images so they fill the 16:9 aspect ratio without the side borders. But whatever, this is cool stuff.

What are you using for the video editing? I have yet to use a video editor that is both intuitive AND works reliably without crashing.

MMM,
thanks for the kind comments and thoughts. The track's been mastered so I won't tweak it in the near future - I had it done professionally so I can STOP tweaking otherwise I keep fiddling. I will keep the comments though - just in case I decide to get it remastered.

The guest make the sum & total through their presence. I'm just the bass player.
Thanks for the kindness.

Thanks Tad,
I tried transitions but, within Wondershare they actually add to the time line rather than affecting the existing elements.
Until I work out a way around that or get a better free prog I'll have to live with it.
I didn't think about cropping to fit - I just threw a vid behind them to fill in the space. I'll experiment with that.
